Effective 28 August 2026 · Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and HTMedia for the Pulse app, including the optional Pulse Premium subscription. Installing or using Pulse means you accept them.
Pulse is a wellness app, not a medical device. Its camera-based heart-rate estimates, the heart rate variability figures derived from them, blood-pressure classifications and health report are for information only. They must never be used to diagnose, treat, cure or monitor any medical condition, and never to decide whether to seek care. If you feel unwell, contact a medical professional or emergency services.
Pulse (the “app”) is published by HTMedia (“we”, “us”), and
distributed on the App Store and Google Play under the identifier
com.htmedia.pulse. These Terms of Use (the “terms”) form a binding
agreement between you and HTMedia. They are the end-user licence agreement (EULA)
for the app.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use Pulse. If you have already installed it, delete it.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Pulse on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
We keep all rights we do not expressly grant. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive its source code except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Pulse estimates heart rate from a video signal at your fingertip (photoplethysmography) — and heart rate variability from the intervals between beats — classifies vitals you enter by hand against published reference ranges, and writes a plain-language health report from those numbers on your device.
None of that is a medical measurement, a diagnosis or medical advice. Results depend on your phone's camera, your skin, the light, how still you were and many other factors, and they can be wrong. In particular:
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Pulse is free to download and free to use for its core purpose. Without any purchase you get unlimited camera heart-rate measurements (with heart rate variability), manual logging of blood pressure, weight, blood oxygen and blood glucose, daily and weekly trends, a 7-day health report, guided breathing, CSV export, health-app sync and up to two reminders. We do not put your own health measurements behind a paywall.
Pulse Premium is an optional paid upgrade. It adds:
Premium is sold as an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact plans, prices and any introductory offers available to you are shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency. Prices differ by country and may change over time.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to verify entitlements with those stores; RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and the store's receipt, and never receives your health data. See the Privacy Policy.
Premium unlocks features. It does not change how your health data is stored, and it does not create an account.
Where a free trial is offered, its exact length and the price that follows it are stated on the purchase screen before you confirm, and again by the store's own confirmation sheet. Trials are usually limited to new subscribers, and eligibility is decided by the store, not by us.
A free trial converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Cancel in time and you are charged nothing. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.
You cancel a subscription in your store account, not in Pulse — neither we nor the app can cancel it for you. The app links straight to the right page: Settings › Pulse Premium › Manage subscription.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Premium features stay unlocked until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the app returns to the free tier. Nothing you recorded is deleted when a subscription ends — reminders, readings and reports you already have all remain. You simply cannot add reminders beyond the free limit, and the premium views are locked again.
All purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds are theirs to grant, under their own policies. We cannot issue, reverse or promise a refund for a store purchase.
Where consumer law in your country gives you a statutory right of withdrawal or a cooling-off period, that right applies in addition to the store's policy and nothing in these terms limits it.
Pulse has no accounts and no sign-in. Your purchase is attached to the store account you bought it with. On a new device, or after reinstalling, tap Restore purchases on the paywall or on the Pulse Premium screen while signed into that same store account.
Because a purchase belongs to a store account rather than to a person, a purchase made with one account cannot be moved to another.
Your health data stays on your device. Pulse has no servers and no user accounts, and we cannot see what you record. The Privacy Policy describes this in full and forms part of these terms. Deleting the app deletes everything Pulse stored on your phone; make an export first if you want to keep it.
You agree not to:
We may add, change or remove features as Pulse develops. If we remove something material from Pulse Premium during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and seek a refund from the store for the unused part. We are not obliged to keep publishing the app indefinitely; if we withdraw it, existing installations continue to work for as long as your device and its operating system allow, and your data remains on your phone.
Pulse is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading, estimate, score or report it produces is accurate.
Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees that apply to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for any loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising out of your use of Pulse. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Pulse in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your licence ends when you delete the app, or if you materially breach these terms. The sections on medical use, warranties, liability and governing law survive the end of this agreement.
These terms apply to the iOS version and Apple requires that we state them:
For the Android version, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for Pulse. Billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds for purchases made through Google Play are governed by Google's payment terms.
If these terms change, the “last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it, and the change is described in the app's release notes. Material changes that affect an existing subscription will not be applied to the period you have already paid for. Continuing to use Pulse after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, and may bring proceedings in its courts where the law gives you that right.
Questions about these terms, about a subscription or about the app can be sent to tuonghttt52@gmail.com. Please do not include health readings or exported reports in a first email — we do not need them to answer a question, and email is not a secure channel for medical information.
For a billing problem, contact Apple or Google first: they hold the transaction and they are the only ones who can refund it.
